The Siempelkamp Experience is a VR-rollercoaster that I created in 2023 for their booth at the Foundry Fair GIFA 2023. It showcases their new production hall in accurate proportions and has three modes, from a simple showcase to a thrilling, loop-de-loop filled extravaganza. It also has stations in the VR experiences that show off Siempelkamp's plans and commitments to sustainabillity.
Originally, the ride was supposed to be more akin to a dark ride you would see at a theme park, being more slow and deliberate. This little robot mascot was supposed to guide the eye of the player before the customer ended up deciding on creating a more thrilling (and short) experience.
The ride also has a "train station" in which the experience starts and stops. To make controlling the game easier, no controllers are required. Instead, users can simply look at the speed indicators to select an intensity, and the ride would start automatically.
